# of Diapers ?

So I'm right there with Mommy2Max with the newbie type questions lately. I appologize... seriously after 4 years I seemed to have forgotten everything! Is there a site somewhere that will give you estimates of how many of each size diaper is needed (knowing full and well that every baby is different, I don't want to WAY over buy or WAY under buy the sizes, but want to buy close as I can with Amazon codes)? Also the 1-2 and 2-3 swaddlers are between sizes right, not a use them if baby is in size 1 or 2, kinda deal, right? So I wouldn't go from NB to 1-2, I would go NB, 1, 1-2, 2, 2-3, etc. Correct? FWIW, if this one is like Eli he was right on the suggested age/weights for clothing/diapers until recently where his height is making a larger size necessary to prevent high waters. So I feel comfortable looking at the "average" numbers of diapers used to at least make sure I don't buy enough for sextuplets! LOL

We had about 4 small packs of size 1s. to start and went through them quickly.  I just took extra NB diapers from the hospital b/c I knew he'd be out of them soon. 

I bought a box off Amazons of 1-2s b/c I figured the same as you, logically that size would be next.  However, I still have over half the 1-2s left and DS is just about to pop out of them.  2s fit him well already.  I think he's b/t 12-13 lbs right now and was born at 8lbs. 15oz.  Right now I've got 2 boxes of 2s on reserve, one was a gift and one was on Clearance at Target.  I'm hoping they last a little while. 

Plus, I'm going to jump into CDing hopefully *fingers crossed* tomorrow.

I would just buy one box of each size right now. We go through about 100 diapers a week right now, but that's with twins. Figure a diaper for every feed which is about 8 in the beginning. times 7 days of the week is 56 diapers a week.

Also if you overbuy at Amazon, their return policy is 365 days with free return shipping. I just had to ship back some newborn diapers we didn't use. We bought those back in August.

I just bought NB diapers at the store as we needed them.  Then, I used 2 cases of size 1 and 2 cases of size 2.  Now, we're in size 3!

We've been buying a pack of diapers each time we go grocery shopping but I'm thinking should probably back off for now until we know better. We have nb, 1 and 2's. All different brands since we don't know what we'll like and not like and I'm a planner.
