Babies: 3 - 6 Months

ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz.... Wha?

This 4 month wakeful is kicking my asss, yo. Every night for 2 weeks Isy is waking up every freaking 2 hours and around 3-4am she wants to get up to play. I feel like I'm constantly in that state right after you wake up after a HEAVY night of drinking with your mind all groggy and barely able to lift hold your head straight on your neck.

To top it off, my IL's are here again for another 10 days (this time no MIL just BIL with his fam), and though its not Dec2010 nightmare repeated its still exhausting because they have 2 girls (2.5years and 1 year) so there is always something happening in my house.

I'm exhausted. Coffee is no help these days. I'm pretty sure I could inject it straight and nothing would happen except I'd be 50% coffee by the end of the day.

Please tell me this gets better. Otherwise just lie... I'm so tired I probably wouldn't know the difference.

ETA: Also since her weight problems hit I feel like I have to be more alert than ever, constantly tracking her oz intake and monitoring her weight (baby girl finally surpassed 11lbs!) so I have this constant stress on top of my constant tiredness. YKWIM?

(vent over.... You may resume your regularly scheduled bumping.)

Re: ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz.... Wha?

  • My DD woke up every hour (or less) for about three weeks. I didn't think I was going to make it through. I work and DH stays home so he got the oppertunity to nap during the day and we switched at night. If it wasn't for him getting up every few nights for me I never would have made it. It gets better though! DD has slept through the night twice since and she sleeps for 4-5 hour stretches now. Good luck and have patience!

  • Duuuuude...I'm so tired of this 4 mo. wakeful thing too.  I need someone to tell me it doesn't last long too.  Oh, wait, gotta go...she's up from her half-hour nap.  FML.
