I got a positive at 8 and 9 dpo (Also digi positive at 9 dpo) with an internet cheapie (Amazon Devon Medical ones) and got negatives with the dollar store on those days..
I used a $ tree at 8 dpo and got the faintest line that I was sure it was an evap. It showed up at about 5 minutes and I had to turn it in different angles to see it.
I tested at 9dpo with a frer and had a really nice line.
I never actually got the for some reason (maybe I wasn't testing frequently enough) and I am not exactly sure what day I OV'd due to my cycle recently being messed up. However, I will tell you that I bought the "Baby Test" brand from Dollar General Market and First Response, Early Response tests and they both worked just as accurately. My recommendation (not sure if you are asking, but just in case), would be to buy a few of the Dollar Store tests so you don't feel guilty "wasting" them if they are BFN, but then confirm with the First Response. My first BFP was on the Dollar Store brand. It was SUPER faint though. I had to hold it right up to my face to see it. LOL! I tested again that night with the First Response and got a darker line. Anyway, not sure if you were asking for all of that, but if so, hope that helps!

I got mine this morning at 9 DPO, but it was sooooooo faint that I couldn't tell if it was + or evap line. In fact, now that it's dry, the line is very nearly invisible. I agonized for an hour and then high-tailed it to Walmart for an E.P.T. digital. It was much nicer to see PREGNANT than an iffy pale line!
Oh, my ICs were the Devon Medical ones from Amazon, BTW. The ones that come bundled with OPKs.

I got my first faint positive 10 DPO w/ an internet cheapie using FMU. I started testing about 7 or 8 DPO, I think .
My positives were stronger still 11 & 12 DPO, so on day 12 I went to the doctor for confirmation. Well.... they only did a urine test, and it was around 4 pm... so it was negative. I BEGGED them to do a blood test (was curious about my HCG levels) but the nurse said there was no medical need. I have awesome insurance and haev been going to the same office for 12 years, felt SO annoyed that they wouldn't just humor me and take a little blood. I considered asking her to call my regular doctor (who books 6 weeks out) into the room. Anyway, I went home cranky and the next morning, at 13 DPO: a digital gave me a positive result with FMU. An internet cheapie was able to give me a positive that same evening (first time w/ late-in-the-day urine).

I got my very first faint line at 13 DPO with a dollar tree cheapie.
I confirmed with an digital and another brand at 15 DPO with a much darker line. The digital said "pregnant".
The best of luck to you whenever you test!

9 dpo. It was so faint, I thought I was seeing things. The next day I took a digital to confirm.
Good luck.
