Growth spurt?

Baby C. is just over 3 weeks old, and up until this point, he has pretty regularly gone about 3 hours between 20 minute feedings. Yesterday, he ate for 20 minutes in the morning, and less than an hour later he was screaming bloody murder. He didn't look gassy (legs weren't curled up), he was clean and dry, wouldn't take his pacifier, and we couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. I put him to my breast, and he ate for another 20 minutes. This has been going on for 24 hours now! He's eating for at least 15 minutes every hour, with the occasional two hour nap. I think my nipples are going to fall off.

yup sounds like a growth spurt. We went through that starting at 2.5 weeks and its just starting to slow down again.

Yeah, cluster feeding/growth spurts = no fun.  Unless I can convince DH to wait on me because I'm pinned to the couch with a baby on my boob.  May I recommend lanolin for the nips?
