Elizabeth loves being on her tummy. When she is flipping out like crazy alot of times if you lay her down and then lay down beside her and talk to her she will come down instantly.
We started at birth--laying tummy to tummy counts as tummy time. LO gets tummy time daily by laying on us, on a surface, or on a boppy. We talk to him in one ear and then the other, wave our fingers slowly and try to get him to track from side to side, get face-to-face and talk to him and make funny noises, we crinkle noisy things or snap or make silly noises. Sometimes we use toys, but I think he is much more into our faces and voices than objects.
We also wear him quite a bit which gives ample time for strengthening the neck and being off the back of the head.
Re: When did you start tummy time?
We've tried a few times but she cried. Then our pedi told us that we didn't have to start until 2-3 months so H has banned it until then.
