Who knew there were so many kinds of rice cereal?

So A had his 4mo appointment yesterday and we got the go ahead to start with rice cereal. I go onto diapers.com this morning to check it out and discover there are 10 different kinds - whole grain, brown, with DHA, with zinc, homestyle, with bananas... what's a girl to choose? Any insight would be appreciated.

We just started on Sunday and I thought the same thing! I had no idea! We went with the organic stuff. I'm going to try to keep everything I give LO organic.

We just do the regular Gerber rice cereal and the Gerber oatmeal.

I know, right?! We are trying the Earth's Best Organic Rice Cereal. I had a friend who used it and their jarred food with her LO's and she recommended it.

However, we tried it for the 1st time last night, and DD wasn't impressed. Not sure if it was the taste, not warm enough, texture, spoon...who knows!

we are using HappyBellies rice cereal, only b/c it was recommended by a friend.  Though we are only doing cereal for a week to "practice", then going on to veggies...but you're right - it's overwhelming!

 I would read the ingredient list of whatever you look at and go for the least amount of ingredients possible.

This sounds like a good idea! We're not quite there yet but I'm thinking I'll buy a few different kinds and see what LO likes and handles best. Anything organic and/or with DHA can't be bad.
