FML

SO I know its not Friday- but I need a FML THursday, anyone else! SO we have got tons of  bills for my dd's medical care, and had been working with the insurance, and thought everything was taken care of, except for co-pays. Well the bulk of her bill $71k we jsut got notice that it was denied, and we have to pay it. Oh but we get a 1% discount if we pay in full- um right...!! I'm sure it will get worked out with insurance, but I just love starting my day like that. FML

Re: FML

  • I can't follow that FML without sounding like a whiny butt! I hope everything gets worked out with the insurance company, that is so stressful!

  • I'm really, really sorry you have to deal with this.
  • Good lord, what's the point of having insurance?!?! I hate those companies. I'm so sorry! 1%... that's BS.

  • I am so sorry.  That's ridiculous!  I am sure you will get it straightened out, but it sucks that is has to be so difficult.

  • I feel ya, sister. We still have bills coming from Peanut's surgery from when he was 6 days old. We got one bill for $46k at one point before it was reprocessed. Can you say heart attack? And it's never just one phone call to fix it, it's always the equivalent of one work day wasted on this BS.

You got that right- its been so much back and forth.. We had to retro her insurance back to her DOB for everything to be covered, and that was a PIA, then we kept geting bills so its phone call after phone call. Although I would rather keep calling than paying all that $$.. Insurance is working with Hopkins now, so this (I think) is getting taken care of, but just love seeing 71k bill!!
