I still call my dad, daddy. But, I could never refer to my mom as "mommy". Don't know why.
I took this as 40+ years old. Where you clearly don't cutesy it up.
It's usually when I need something. When DH was deployed a couple years ago, every thing kept falling apart and I would always have to call my dad. LOL "Daddy, my car won't start" as I'm crying because I'm stranded at night somewhere and my battery had freaking died.
"Seriously, mommy forum people are some crazy ass bitches." New Year New You
What I find weird is that I have a friend who calls her DH "daddy".They don't have any kids.Am I the only one who finds that odd?

exact opposite for me. I'm the youngest in my family and my mom (mommy) still introduces me to people as her baby Amy, I laugh at it but I secretly love it and refer to her as mommy because it makes her happy.

Yeah it's kinda weird to me. But I never called my parents mommy and daddy. I think I tried calling my dad 'daddy' once in my early teens and it just sounded wrong, so never did it again.

My mom does the same thing. I know that she loves being called "mommy" because she signs cards so. But only to me, not my sisters.
I can understand calling them mommy and daddy in person but the girl that I'm thinking about posts it all the time on FB. To me it just makes her sound like a child for some reason.
I also hate it when this other girl keeps calling herself a princess. Saying stuff like "It's so good to be a princess, bahahahahaha!"
Sometimes it's okay to follow. (Picture is a clicky)
I get annoyed when my mom will call and leave a message and say " this is your mommy". Sorry MOM, but i cannot recall the last time i have called you mommy.
sometimes my sister will call my dad "daddy and i will cringe. Come on, sis, you are 36.

I recently (within the last 2 years) started calling them "mom" and "Dad", however when my brother and I talk to each other about them, we still call them "mommy" and "daddy"...like "Did you talk to mommy the other day?"
