Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Any one else dealing with this???

My son is 4 months old and is a terrible napper.  He has been sleeping 12 hours at night but goes most days without naps.  He then becomes overly tired and we spend the whole day with him crying for hours on end with no way to console him.  I've really been working since he was 2 1/2 months to get him on a nap schedule and to nap in his crib.  When I put him in his crib sound asleep he wakes up pretty much right away and then I cant get him down again (no matter what I try).  I asked my pediatrician about it at our last appt and he diagnosed him with colic.  When my son naps (which is only when I can get him down and he sleeps in my arms) he is a happy child untill bed time.  Its recently been a lot more difficult to get him down for naps he hates them.  I dont know what to do... is anyone else going through anything like this?

  • Have you tried wearing him? Many babies sleep very well in a sling or Moby wrap (I know my DD does!). Granted, you won't be putting him down, but at least your hands would be free. Good luck!

  • I used to use the moby wrap with him... ive tried our carrier.  No luck I feel like i've tried everything and want to give in and just put him in the car for naps but I know I should not do this!
