Help me figure out the size of costume to buy!

Willow will be about 11 months at Halloween - I put her in 12 months clothes now.

Do I buy the 6-12 month size and pray it's not tight?

Or Do I buy the 12-18 months and see her swimming in it?

  • Are you planning to go out with her and layer her up on Halloween? Or could you buy both and send one back? I rather L and L's costumes be on the bigger side so I can layer them underneath.

  • I ordered a size up when we bought ours the other day... I think it's cute when babies are kind of swimming in a costume, makes them look more tiny.  :)

  • I would go with the 6-12.  Usually coats and stuff like that run bigger.
  • I would go by her weight.  Mason is only 24 lbs, so right between the two sizes so I bought both and ended up returning both, one too big one too small.  It's especially hard with the length.  I found old navy didn't work so we went with gap which has a 12-18 months size which fit just right.

  • I guess it all depends.  Target had cute (inexpensive!) bunting type costumes for 15 dollars... labeled 0-9mo...  so i bought them.  We'll be lucky if Gabe still fits in it when we get back from San Diego... seriously?  he's not even 3 months!
