Kinda Scared.........

So today when I went to the bathroom and wiped I had like a pretty good size clot or piece of tissue from my inside that had blood on it. It wasn't normal discharge at all. I used some more toilet paper to actually feel it and it was thick so this has me very nervous. I called the Dr. and they said if I didn't have any pain and no more bleeding to just wait till I go to the my regular Dr. appt tomorrow. I am scared that it was my mucous plug. If it was this is very bad! I am only 22 weeks along. =( I am feeling very stressed and overwhelmed now. Just keep me in your prayers that everything is okay. Thanks!!

Unfortunately I have to work all day tomorrow and my appt isn't untill 2:30 or 3 I think. =(

This happened to me several times in my last pregnancy, and when I did lose my mucous plug before my water broke at home. That mucous plug was huge I can't think what to compare it to. You should be ok I have mucous discharge every now and then and my doctor says that it is ok as long as it is not huge. When I lost my mucous plug it was bloody. That isn't always the case but for me it was. If you had blood then I would share that with your doctor. I do hope everything is ok and if you are really concerned I would go to the hospital. When I thought something was wrong in my last pregnancy I would go to the hospital. I went four times to the hospital before I delivered my daughter.

I lost mine right after my cerclage surgery. I know this is nasty but was it snot like? A mucus plus will look just like snot usually.

Luckily you are going to the Dr tomorrow and they can check it all out.

I know not stressing is harder said than done.

I do know that a mucus plug can re-generate. Could it be from having sex recently?

I didn't lose my mucous plug with my daughter till right when i went into labor. It was bigger, bloodier and more mushy snot like than this was. Whatever came out this morning was about the size of  a nickle. There was just a little blood at the bottom of it. It was so weird I almost kept it lol. I feel a little better now since I haven't had anything else weird happen and he is moving around. So I am just going to try to stay positive and see what the Dr. says. Thanks for the advise I really appreciate it.

i would say put yourself on temporary bed rest and take it easy at work tomorrow if at all possible i know you have a daughter so this may not be an option but if you dh(?) is home maybe he can fix dinner and keep lo intertained

i bet it was part of your mucous plug but nonetheless not a big deal.  from what i understand, pieces of the plug can come dislodged, but the plug will repair itself.  so you could lose your plug several times in a pregnancy.

Good luck tomorrow.  I had a tissue like clot come out when I was 21 weeks.  It wasn't bloody but it scared the *** out of me.  It sunk right to the bottom of the toilet.  I thought for sure it was my mucous plug but here I am almost 26 weeks and it turned out to be nothing.  Take it easy tonight.

All of the advice and support makes me feel a lot better!! Thanks so much and I will update everyone as soon as I get back from the Dr. I really wish I could take the day off but unfortunately this is my first couple weeks back at work cause I was laid off for a month while we moved locations. So we really need the money. =( It sucks being poor ha ha!! Anyways Thanks again!!

Hey let us know what happens today. I had something very similar happen yesterday and the doctor said that I should be seen in the next couple days to make sure I am not dilating. My DD came late so the chances of me dilating now is pretty slim; however, they want to check. Our LO is also moving around and so I am sure we are ok, but it is really scary and frustrating. Thinking about you!
