Another promise that things DO get better ......

I have to be honest, I was a skeptic.  With a jealous toddler and twins who didn't want to sleep, had constant reflux, were constantly crying, I was pulling my hair out.  It's been almost 6 months now, and I have to say that things are very good.  Their reflux has diminished greatly (thanks to great pedi advise, a pedi gastro and Gelmix), they sleep a good 10-12 hours a night, and my toddler, who has grown accustomed to the fact that these screaming babies are not going back to where they came from (LOL) is now their full time "tickler"....it's just too cute!

A little update: While they're DNA is identical, that is pretty much where it stops, "I" think they look different, but i'm sure that other people will disagree.  Their personalities are also very different.  Jonathan is my Sleeping Beauty, he sleeps and sleeps and sleeps.  After both being put to bed around 9pm, Jonathan will sleep until 11 the next morning.  He is also extremely cool and relaxed.  Joshua on the other hand is my Nervous Nelly.  He is very excited to be the first one up in the morning (usually around 8) and it doesn't end until he is put to bed at night.  He hardly ever naps and is on the move constantly.  He doesn't crawl just yet, but he "nudges" or something like the army crawl I guess you can call it. LOL....and they have discovered that Sophie is their best friend!  yes, teething has begun...oy!

So ladies, a BIG thank you, for reassuring me all those months! and to those that are just in the beginning of it, I am one more MoM that will and can say that "YES!" it does get better!  WOO-HOO!  :o)

  • That's great to hear! My twins are 3 months right now and it is really hard. I shed a lot of tears and my husband must think I have lost my mind. Right now they are getting up one to two times per night and I am ready for a full nights sleep. My little girl seems to be colicky and starts crying really hard around 5pm and doesn't stop until I put them to bed. She is wearing me out!

  • So good to hear. Last night I was in tears because both babies just could not settle.  Today I had a Dr. appt and I was so glad to get out of the house by myself, although I missed the heck out of my boysStick out tongue
