Zantac causing gas?

So I posted earlier about LO being really super gassy and in a lot of pain lately from what i thought might be my breastmilk.

I was talking to my mom about it and she asked when I started him on Zantac and when this started. We started him on Zantac on Friday and his gassiness and pain started Saturday night/Sunday so I am thinking we are going to stop giving him the Zantac to see if that clears up rather then giving him formula. Some of the side effects I remember reading about it are constipation and diarrhea.

Has anyone's LO had negative experiences with Zantac? If it gets better we are stopping it and I was thinking gripe water (obviously won't do this  w/o talking to his pedi first).

We had gassiness with the Zantac at first, after some gas drops and some time, all righted itself.
