What's the point of putting "property of xyz" on the pictures in your siggy?

    I think it's becaues of all the creeps out there who steal baby pictures then make sn's on TB and pretend to have multiples/preemies/sick kids,etc.

    Because there's creepers out there who could use your child's photo. I've always wondered too, just because if that was someone's motive, they could always crop out the name (most people don't make it big enough to fit the photo).

    Sorry, but it is 100% true.  People do it ALL.THE.TIME. And it's freaking creepy.

    This is why DH won't let me post R's photos on TB.

    Good lord! That makes me want to remove any and all pics of A from the internet (not that I can ever really get them all back!). Why are there so many weirdos in this world?

    I have heard of people taking pics to pretend they are someone else, but taking somebody's baby pics and pretending they are your kid? WTF is wrong with your brain if you are doing that? Just trying to get some attention, or is it because your kid isn't as cute as somebody else's? Creepy.

    Aside from getting attn on message boards and posting, what else do these people gain by using your baby pics?  Are they trying to benefit somehow?  Or they are just stealing baby pics for no reason at all and claiming them as their own?  I mean, I would be totally creeped out by seeing DD's pic on someone else's profile, but I am just trying to understand if it is detrimental to me or her in any way?
