I registered for the Fisher Price Rock & Play Sleeper, hoping our baby could sleep in this next to our bed (instead of a bassinet). Now I have doubts about putting the baby in this to sleep throughout the night. Can someone clarify the use of the Rock and Play? Thank you!
Re: Rock and Play Sleeper Question
My ds will sleep in the pack and play bassinet but not for long. He does like to lay in there awake and listen to the music but that is not good for when we are trying to get sleep though the night. He does sleep better and for longer periods if he is in the swing or even last night I put him in the carseat next to our bed and he slept for two hours.
I will be investing in a RnP this weekend. I talked it over when our ped and he thinks that since my LO was preemie, the doesn't like the open space in the pnp for sleeping. He likes the boundries that the swing and carseat have. He suggested the RnP for sleeping.
I don't have any doubts. I have seen a lot of posts on here about how parents got some sleep after using the RnP.
The PnP could be used as a changing station if the baby is in the RnP but will definitely come in handy when LO is older! They will only be able to use the RnP up to 25 pounds.
i like mine because i have two older kids. one 7 and one is 4. my 4 year old wants to be a little mommy and she cant reach him in there. it is somewhere safe for him to be when i have to go to the bathroom or cant be right there every second.
we have the pnp with the changing table and i thought it was a good idea, at first. but after ds was born, and we put him in there, it freaked me out that the changing table covers so much of the bed. i was afraid of the lack of air circulation. i have taken it off and we aren't using it.
the pnp will always be useful. you can take it outside, grand parents or anywhere you are going to stay the night. and it is just one more different lace for LO to hang out.
