Eating every 2 hours?

My 7wo DS is hungry every 2 hours and eats anywhere from 3-4 oz each time.  He used to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours but started this 2 hour schedule a little over a week ago.  He also started sleeping through the night a couple weeks ago and is slowly lasting longer and longer without feedings during the night time (went from 6 hours to about 8.5 hours last night).  Do you think this could be why he eats so often during the day?  Also, he is so hungry before we put him to bed he will eat about 6 oz and the last 2 nights has gone up to about 8oz!

It's amazing how he adjusts himself.  We have just been following his lead with the feedings and bedtime.  He started STTN starting at midnight.  Then 2 nights ago he started going down by 10:30pm after 8oz on his own.  It's facinating to me how he seems to have an internal clock.

I think I'm going to track his feedings more closely just to see how many oz he's taking in 24hrs.

My DD just started this last night!  She will be 4 weeks tomorrow and last night before she went to bed at 11:00 she took 6 oz and slept until 6:30 this morning.  Now, she is eating every 2-2.5 hours and before it was every 3 hours.  It amazes me too and because I thought it was crazy that she wanted 6 oz last night, I started keeping track of how much she has been eating at each feeding today.
