One of those dumb pregnancy questions

Hey Ladies.

I apologize for even asking this, but I really don't have an answer and Dr. Google has answers all across the board.

Can I color my hair?

I warned you it was a dumb question, but I just recently started coloring my hair so I never had to ask the question while I was pregnant with Max.

My dr. told me not until after 14 weeks, but I think different dr's tell you different things.  I dumb tho and just figured I'd wait until after the baby is born

Yes.. As long as it's in a well ventilated area and you are not putting bleach on you skull : )
I get highlights/lowlights and OB said it was fine...

Very little dye actually is absorbed into scalp. Dye is on hair and that doesn't do anything to baby. I checked with my PCP and OB- they both said no big deal.

My midwife said it was fine, but my stylist preferred not to so we didn't. I figured people wouldn't be looking at my roots anyway, just my giant belly. :-)

I did. My midwives had no concerns.

I stopped coloring mine when I got pg with Eli, but my OB said it was fine. They really didn't seem to think it was an issue. However with my enhanced sense of smell, I would never have been able to do it!

I have my entire pregnancy as well. As long as you are not bleaching your entire skull you should be fine. My stylist is my cousin and she said that most of the hair color these days isnt going to bother the baby at all. Just make sure there arent a million ladies getting a perm that day.

I did. Aveda has a few options that are low-chemical, and if you look hard enough you can find some totally natural options if you're concerned about it.
