Fabric for abdominal binding?

Hi mamas! I have a quick question. I want to bind my stomach after the baby is born. I don't want to use the commercially available binders. I want to wrap it with fabric. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what fabric would be a good choice? Something with a little stretch, breathable and not too hot as I am due in June. I can then use it to wrap with later :-) Also, does anyone have a link to a website about abdominal wrapping and it's benefits, etc? Thanks so much!
