Brayson is here! Birth story plus PIP

This is the first time I have been on since my LO arrived almost 2 weeks ago. I have tons of catching up to do but want to say congrats to all the new mommies!!!

Here is my story....

I had a scheduled induction for Monday Feb. 7th. Got to the hospital right on time at 7am. Well..the rest of our area decided to have their baboes that day too. Since I was an induction and not in active labor I was pushed to the back of the line everytime someone new came in. I was stuck in triage all day!!! Finally after lunch my doctor gave me cervidil to jump start things to get me inline for a labor room. It worked! At 3pm I was i a labor room hooked up to pitocin. I was already at 3cm at this point so I was thinking it was going to go quick. Not so much.....

My parents and DH were there with me all day. I wanted DS1 and D2 to be there but they had basketball games so I thought they would miss their brother being born. My sister picked them u after their game and flew to the hospital at around 8pm, I had just gotten my epidural and was 5cm. I had to get oxygen a few times because LO was showing some distress signs but other than that all went well. Midnight passed and everyone was still at the hospital tired and exhausted. The also had nerve to tell me how tired they were! Even DH, which only said it once because he got the look of death, LOL!

Finally at 4:45am after my doctor checked she said I was all ready to push. I questioned her because even though I couldn't feel anything becuase of the epi, I remember ALOT of pressure with my first 2 and knew it was time. I was so tired I wasn't sure I could even do it. But at 4:54am on 2/8/11 after 3 minutes of pushing Brayson Elijah was born!!!!!!! 7lbs. 11oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He was absolutely perfect!!!!!

I went home that Thursday and have been in love ever since. Part of the reason I haven't been on is because I can barely put him down long enough. I wondered how I would feel after having my 3rd boy, if I would feel the same as I did with my first 2, and I do. These last 2 weeks have been amazing and I am enjoying every waking tired second of it.
