I mean, I live in WI so I've been there 100 times, but never w/kids. Aside from the Shedd and riding the EL, what else to do? Good kid friendly restaurants? We will be staying this weekend downtown but will have a car.
Rainforest Cafe, LegoLand (? or store), and isn't there a huge TRU there? I haven't been in a few years, and we're spending a couple days there this summer (after hitting WI Dells - lol).
I second Navy Pier. They have that Family Pavilion Stage with kids shows, and the kids museum and also I think an indoor maze for kids. They used to have ice skating in the winter (not sure if they still do).
If it isn't too cold, Lincoln Park Zoo is awesome and free!
Sears Tower (which is no longer the Sears Tower but whatever), John Hancock bldg (my kids would LOVE it). ?Don't go on a smoggy or super cloudy day though.
