We have been looking at possibly purchasing another washer/dryer set as we are envisioning ours to poop out any time now. I have read the occasional difficulties that HE washers can have, but what about agitator (the little tube thing in the middle of the washer) vs no agitator washing machines. The no agistator washers use less water in addition to being HE... potential problem? Any experience with no agitators?
Re: Washing machine - agitator vs no agitator
we have a whirlpool cabrio and don't have any problems
(the few issues we've had I think are more due to having hard water that is constantly changing as the city adds more or less crap to it and not because of the washer itself)
We bought a brand new washer and dryer last year and our washing machine has the agitator in it. I'm sure with/out it would work just the same. Good luck making a decision.
we have an agitator-less washer but it is an upright. From the reviews of friends it has been the HE front loaders that some have had problems with. But usually the complaint I hear is that the seal in the doors smells bad.
We love ours. 2nd best purchase we've ever gotten
