Hi everyone! I usually just lurk on this board, but I hope to be around a little more often. I have been thinking about trying 30 Day Shred, but I don't know where to start. Aside from the video, what equipment do you need? And how long is each day's workout? I've seen a lot of posts about it and you have inspired me to really try to stick with it! Thanks!
Re: Shred ? from a lurker :)
You've probably seen me rave about the Shred then. I am so excited to hear someone else is going to do it.
All you will need is a set of handweights - I'd say 3 or 5 lbs and a mat, if you are working out on a hard floor. And obviously - shoes, light weight workout clothes, water bottle and a small towel. The workout with warm up and cool down is 27 minutes.
You need to devote yourself to this. Find a time in your day where you can workout 7 days a week. I find mornings the best. There are no breaks. It is brutal, especially in the beginning but it WILL get easier. Also, in the beginning, you may find it hard to want to put in the dvd AGAIN. But, over time, you will want to work out and actually look forward to it.
Good luck! You can do it!
So here is my brilliant plan:
Wake up at 5am, workout
Shower at 5:30, get ready for work
Out the door between 6-6:15
I'm glad you ladies are here, maybe you can keep me on track!! Thanks!
Wow. You are a bad ass. I'm a SAHM. I have no idea how I would juggle exercise, work and LO on an early schedule like that.
You've got the plan though and the drive. That's great! When do you plan to start?
oooops double post
I am headed to Walmart when I get home from work. I hope to start in the AM.
And thanks for the compliment! But I won't accept "bad-ass" status until I successfully get my lazy butt outta bed and make some progress!
Glad I am not the only crazy one..On Monday I stayed up after LO one woke up to eat at 4am to do it...DON't know what I was thinking but I made it through the whole day feeling great! (Other then my thighs are pretty sore.) However this morning I could not get out of bed so tonight I have to do my day 4 of level 1.
Glad I am not the only newbie, we can help make sure we are getting out workouts in.
