Providence Park Novi Question...

I will be delivering there in... 8 weeks or less... AHHH!  Crazy!  Anyways... I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of diapers they use there and what kind of infant formula they give you? I am just curious.  Also.... what other goodies can I hope to take home?  Clearly, I am just super excited!

    They use Pampers Sensitive for diapers.  No wipes, you use washcloths.  Formula is either Similac or Enfamil, we had Similac in our room, but didn't use it as DS is EBF.  You get a gift pack from either Similac or Enfamil.  We got the Similac one because according to our nurse, "it had better goodies".  If you have any other questions just let me know!  I had a wonderful experience there!

    Thanks!  I read that the hospital has an in house photographer.... did you use them?  How are the photos?  Are they just of the baby or can parents be in them too?

    They do have a photographer, but I didn't use them.  I had hired Emily Dowd already and to be completely honest, the hospital was pretty expensive.  Parents can be in the pics, its not just the baby, if that's what you want.  The sitting fee is $99, each pose/outfit is $25.  The cost of each print is fairly expensive as well.  They give you a rate sheet and someone from the studio comes down to talk to you.

    You will have a great experience!  I delivered out of there in October.  We also got the Similac gift pack.  We also formula fed from day 2 so they gave us TONS of those little 2 ounce ready to feed bottles.  It was super busy there the weekend that I delivered (it was a full moon- guess the old wives tale is true!) but everyone was still great even though you could see they were quite busy. 

    We also hired Emily Dowd before Peyton was born so we did not use the in house photographers at Providence.
