Who else had to get the shot?  I have to today.  I hate shots.  I would rather give blood 1 million time than get 1 shot.  Im weird I know but was it really that bad?  Do they have to give it in my butt?  I hate butt shots even more because you cant see when they are about to do it...

    they gave me mine in my arm

    It isn't a shot, or for me it wasn't.  They first took my blood and out of the butterfly cath that took the blood they infused the Rhogam into my bloodstream

    Mine was in my arm, but I won't lie--it hurt.  And I'm usually not a wimp about needles/shots.

    I didn't think it was bad, but I'm the opposite of you -- shots don't bother me, but having blood drawn is a different story.  I got mine in the hip.

    My nurse let me choose, arm or butt.  I chose arm and it wasn't too bad.  Good luck Smile

    mine was in my rump - it wasnt too bad. Just a little pinch and it was over. Although it was sore all day...

    I have had 2 this pregnancy so far and three my last pregnancy, and all of them were shots in the butt.  It isn't too bad..I think it depends on the nurse who administers the shot.

    I wonder why I am the only one who got an infusion and not a shot!  Granted it really didn't hurt, having them take my blood never does and I am glad it was painless but why the heck did I get the infusion and everyone else got a shot....  I will have to ask my Dr.

    Mine was in the butt.  It was sore for a little while afterwards, but not too bad.  She let me pick which cheek, lol.

    I have had one in the butt before.  I'd take it there over the arm though.  Not sure how it will go this time.  I have to get it in 2 weeks.  I do agree with pp that it has to do with the skill of the nurse who is shooting you up though.

    i got mine in the butt. ?i hate getting shots as well. and to be honest i didnt even know when she gave me the shot. ?its such a small needle that you cant feel it. ?

    I got to choose arm or butt.  I said whichever hurts less.  Nurse did it in the arm and I never felt anything at all afterward.  It was NO problem.  And I hate needles.

    Mine was actually in the hip vs. butt.  I truly didn't feel it at all and didn't even know she put a small bandaid over it for a couple of days.  It hurt more to peel the bandaid off :)

    Do these issues crack anyone else up when you really stop and think abou tit?  I didn't like the idea of a shot, but I am going to have a baby coming out of my vag soon and am pretty sure that I will be BEGGING for a needle during labor (epidural).  The Rhogam shot was a breeeeeze compared to what we are all about to go through (whether your labor is "easy" or hard).  :)

    I had one at 16w & one at 28w... both were in the butt (I think that was my choice, can't remember).

     

    I HATE needles and it's a shame b/c I have thyroid issues and was also dx with GD... so I have been "giving blood" regularly throughout pregnancy, plus 4 finger sticks a day and now insulin once a day.
