DH is  watching a show on TLC  and one woman is addicted to sleeping with a hair dryer (her three year old is too) and another lady eats toilet paper. WTH!

    i've seen that one! sadly, the newer episodes are even worse: one girl eats laundry soap and another eats couch cushions.

    It's called Pica - its a psychological disorder and eating non nutritive things are the symptoms.

    I have seen that episode.  Crazy!  Usually the people that eat things have Pica which can be caused by a mineral deficiency and is also linked to OCD.
