so we have our anatomy scan this saturday. it's got me really thinking about boys names. we've got girls names down pat... easy. boys are a different story.
we've finally agreed to Isaac or Ian as our top two. but they are "just names" to me. they don't have any family meaning. the two girls names both come from either sides of my family and we love them. i feel the need to find the same connection with the boys name. so i got to thinking. My dad's father's middle name was Turner. It was also his mother's maiden name. i had turned my nose up at the name Turner before b/c it sounded too "trendy" or "cutesy". But now I'm saying it out loud a lot to test it and i'm starting to like it more. maybe it's just b/c i know it means something as compared to the random names we happen to like (isaac/ian). Either way, I'm really starting to like Turner David S.
What are your thoughts on Turner for a boy??
Re: Turner for a boy?
I just asked this exact question a few weeks ago! I'm also considering naming my son (anatomy scan tomorrow) Turner. Its my maiden name and my brother won't be passing the name down. He is the last Turner in the family! I am back and forth with it. My husband LOVES it but I'm afraid i'll have name regret, or get the side eye.
Especially with a middle name Nathan. Initials T.N.A?! Say it out loud. Sounds like boys weekend out.
I cant decide what I want to do. I love it, then hate it.
Repost from Baby Names in case you didnt catch it over there :-)
