I'm beside myself right now...

Made a long overdue trip to the grocery store today. I guess I was out of sorts for some reason because I kept doing stupid stuff, like drop the milk in the parking lot only to watch the entire gallon drain from the carton.  Anyway, I just got a call from the grocery store asking if I was there today. Apaprently I left my purse in the cart in the parking lot and drove away. What a dumba$$ I am!!!!  I can't even believe I did that.  I noticed my purse was missing, but I thought I had left it in the car when I got home. Nope, it's a sopping mess because it's been sitting in 6 inches of snow all day, but it's locked up in the store safe until I can get it. I don't care how wet it is, I'm just so happy there are decent people out there and that one of them turned it in!  I am beside myself wondering if anything was taken before it was turned in and I can't go back to the store to get it until DH gets home in another 1.5 hours.  What a bad, bad day   Hopefulyl tomorrow I'm smart again!

It must be contagious!

I did the same thing yesterday.  Went to the store and left my purse in the cart!  I stopped at Target next and realized what I did when Iwent to get out.  I called the store right away and they were going out to look for it as someone was bringing it in.  Thank God.

Here's the kicker...I then went to a third store and did it again!  WTH?  I never do that.  I left my purse in the cart and started to walk to my car.  I only realized what I did because I went for my phone right away.  What a ditz I am for doing it twice!

I hope we're both smart again soon!  (And that everything in your purse in intact)

You poor thing! You are not alone though. I am a raging dingbat sometimes. I have left my car running for an entire day once. Well, that was a lie. I have done it more than once.

Recently I left the gym daycare and only picked up Klaire - left Kyle there.  Forgot he was with me. I realized as I was exiting the gym and then got him.  Oops!
