Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Supported sitter food schedule??

Had babies 4 mos dr's appt/shots done on friday. He advised i can start solids not just cereal. I don't think i'm going to though until 6 mos. But I Just got this in the mail from gerber. Seems like alot of feedings or is this typical for around 6mos old? I know this is just a suggestion.

Morning - 4oz form or BM

Breakfast - 4tbsp cereal, 3/4 tub pears

Mid morning snack - 4oz form or BM

Lunch - 4oz form or BM, 1/2 tub sweet potatoes

Afternoon snack - 4 oz form or BM, 3/4 tub peaches

dinner - 4oz form or MB, 3/4 tub greenbeans, 4tbsp of cereal

evening feeding 4oz form or BM

What times are these do you think? the morning, breakfast, mid morn snack all seem like alot before lunch?? is this typical? It's 7 feedings and right now mine only get 5(6oz of formula) . (I know the oz of form is lower)

When the heck do the babies sleep? lol...

I know i'm getting ahead of myself but i'm just curious as to see if this is how it's going to be. No biggie if it is...i'm just floored at how many feedings this is.

Thanks!!!

Re: Supported sitter food schedule??

  • I am giving my LO the regular amounts of formula and have added fruit in the morning and veggies in the evening inbetween bottles.  He started out with 1/3 of the tub, but over the past 3 weeks have gotten to where he eats the whole tub.  I keep thinking of adding a lunch meal, but he goes to a sitter and I'm not sure I want to go down that road yet.  Good luck.  Oh, my LO only takes 10-20 minute cat naps during the day so all that feeding wouldn't interrupt his naps Stick out tongue

  • I don't know, but I'm with you.  That seems like a lot of feedings- 2 more than we give her now.  Plus, right now she is only up from about 7 to 7.  She would have to be eating all of the time it seems like.  Hmmm.
