How much cereal and how often?

My son is 4 months old now.  We started cereal tonight and it went GREAT!  How often on how much cereal do you give your child?

    I'm anxious to see responses to this as well. My daughter is also four months and we tried cereal tonight for the first time - and it was an EPIC fail! Sad

     There's always tomorrow, I guess, right?

    I started yesterday and DS took it pretty good but DD did not. Did you keep it thick or thin? How much did you use vs formula/BM??

    We do 2 tablespoons of cereal w/ 2oz formula or bm twice a day. Now that he is getting other foods I usually mix some fruit in it too.

    We did 1 Tbsp cereal with 4 Tbsp formula or BM.  He ate the whole thing.  Smiled and opened his mouth whenever the spoon came towards his mouth.

    I started D on it last week, we do two or three tablespoons for his last meal followed with nursing to sleep.  I only do it once a day but my pedi said that he should be getting 1/4 cup a day.
