Local Pumpkin Patches

I want to take some photos of DS at the pumpkin patch.  Where are some locally?

I know of Remlinger Farms, but are there any that aren't quite such a big deal/event?

Re: Local Pumpkin Patches

  • we went to remlinger with the babies this weekend for pictures, and it wasn't too bad.  :)   there is a place to park right near the pumpkin patch (dont wear clogs like me--- wear sneakers, its muddy)  we bypassed the "fall fair" since they are so little and just tried to get a slice of pie (denied!  they dont do it anymore.... and they didnt have any little pies... and goodness knows we dont need a BIG pie --  oink oink)  and ended up with some OK kettle corn....    bring a blanket --- the ground was cold and damp and audrey wasnt impressed.  Tony put them down with out  once and they were covered in cold wet sawdust.  way to go dad!  :)

we also tried Jubilee farms and it would involve a long walk to pumpkin patch or a tractor/hayride.  at 2.5 mo not needed....

it all makes for sweet pictures....

    have fun

  • Some charge admission, so you want to be careful of that.  I'm not sure what is "local" to you.  The Farm and Craven Farm in Snohomish are great.  Craven has a little petting zoo, too.  I think Craven is a little better for the smaller guys.

  • I have done Remlinger and it is more of an event.

We have been to Craven, I will be going again this year - it's so nice and "farmish"

  • We went to some random pumpkin patch off the side of Hwy 18. lol They had little areas with haybails and pumpkins/squash set up perfectly for Kodak moments.

  • We're planning on going to Carpinito's sometime this month, it's in Kent.  I've never been, but it looks pretty cute and won't take forever for us to get there:

  • why didn't I know about Carpintino's pumpkin patch?!  We live up the hill in Fairwood/Renton and got our Christmas trees there...  I am sure Tony would have preferred that over hauling it to remilinger this weekend....  grrrrrr....  maybe we need a 2nd round of pumpkin pics (Audrey definitely didnt appreciate the forced family fun...  and while the pictures are ok, they arent great....and the babes werent all smiles on the cold ground...)

  • I normally do the C B farm, but found the one right off hwy 18 (Flaming Gyeser exit) a lot better this year!!!  It was small and not packed at all.  Also they had the cute little area that Kim was talking about all set up and ready to go!  I think there was maybe only one or two other families there while we were!
  • Craven is a good one!!

  • We as a family go to Craven every year and the boys love it. We do the Farm with schools and it is a ton of fun but you have to ride on the tractor and they have a lot of animals. I think the day we go to Craven is our favorite day of the year. If you get there when they open it is usually not crowded either.?
