Re: Bed-Rest Mamas Daily Check-In ~ SUNDAY ~
QOTD: Pearl is my birthstone but I LOVE diamonds. Part of it is because I worked in jewelry for eight years, so I have a thing for them anyway, but another part is that I am colorblind, so I can't actually distinguish half of the stones out there, so I figure can't go wrong with a diamond, it is clear!
UPDATES: Bad bp and contraction day yesterday, and I had a hard time sitting through them. Appointment tomorrow so am just trying to take it easy today.
QOTD: Since this new baby's name is Julia Pearl, I feel like I should say pearl, but really, who doesn't love diamonds.
Updates: I don't have an medical updates. Yesterday, was a really difficult day. They moved me to yet another room. I want to stay where I was. I am really struggling. I want to talk to the doctor about possibly going home, but I also want what is best for the baby. I don't want them to send me home just because I nag them about it. I am not really sure what the benefits of being here are. I guess it is a higher degree of rest but at the same time, but separated from my family gives me a lot of mental/emotional stress. That can't be good for the baby either.
QOTD: Both! I had always been a diamonds girl but then DH got me the most beautiful pearl earrings. I should add that the earrings also have diamonds. DH has it right ... don't make me choose -- get me both!
Update: Working from home is starting to stress me out. My first weeks of bed rest I had nothing to do but lay around doing puzzle books and watching Netflix. But then one of my bosses called with an irresistible deal -- they would continue my pay and benefits as long as there was work to do and I was doing it. Now I am stressed about keeping up with it. I think that is adding to my sleeping troubles. I was bored and irritable before I got the work; now I feel stressed. Ugh! (End whining. I know I am really lucky.)

QOTD: I really love both! But if I had to pick I would choose diamonds. I just love the sparkle!
Updates: Not much here. In-laws are visiting. Two nights of terrible sleep so just tired and cranky.
Updates: I've finally begun feeling contractions, not just uterine tightening. They've been regular, but not regular enough for them to send me to L&D. And they're not intense enough for them to worry about right now. So we'll have to see how things go. I'm not really sure what the plan would be if things progressed (as in, whether they'd attempt to halt labor or just let me go), so for now we keep waiting for something to happen.
QOTD: Diamonds or Pearls? I love, love, LOVE diamonds! Yes, it's also my birthstone, but there's just something about diamonds. Pearls are definitely gorgeous as well and have their place in my heart, but if someone told me I could only wear one of them, I'd definitely be picking diamonds
Diamonds or pearls?
Diamonds! I just love the way they sparkle
Update: Yesterday was stressful, but non-baby related - my husband went out to get my Procardia Rx refilled - and got in a pretty good wreck on the way home, a young kid ran a stop sign and came out right in front of my husband. We think his truck is totalled, but he's okay. He may have had a concussion, but things all looked good, so they only had him in the hospital a few hours.
On a better note, the nursery painting is finished, my parents put all the furniture back in - and mom got me the SOFTEST, minkiest crib sheet EVER - so of course its already washed and on the crib mattress
I can't wait till our bedding comes in this next week or two and we get pictures and curtains hung up!
QOTD: I DO love diamonds, because everyone loves those, BUT - pearls hold a special place in my heart. My mom's mom gave her a pearl necklace when she graduated high school, and my mother got me one when I did, as well. So I certainly have a soft spot for pearls, especially all those multicolored ones they've got now!
I am happy to hear that your husband wasn't badly hurt. But I am really sorry that you had to go through that right now. Give him a few extra hugs!

Whoops, went a few days and forgot to check it. It's all blending together!
QOTD: I like both, but I feel like I look silly in either, like I'm trying to pull off a "grown up" look. Haha.
Update: Forgot to check in for a few days - my check up last week was fine - a bit rushed, but fine. Pretty much nothing to report at all, except that I passed my 3 hr glucose (hooray!). We're going for another US tomorrow, to check growth so the doctor knows where we're at, and also to check for any PTL risks (none of which have been an issue before now - I'm on BR for blood pressure and protein spilling). Then back to the doctor again Wednesday.
He said to me last week, "We're going to be hanging out a lot." Haha.
I make it to his first milestone of 28 weeks on Wednesday, so looking forward to that!
