A good trick I learned at the hospital for pain down there

I have a small second degree tear and a labia tear from delivering DD and one of the nurses gave me a good tip as I didn't really like the ice packs because it was hard to walk around with them. She suggested I put witch hazel tucks pads on top of the maxi pad and then spray the tucks pads with dermoplast. It's been working wonders! Just wanted to share :)

  • It also works to toss the whole thing in the freezer for about a half-hour before you use it. Heaven.

  • my RN took an infant diaper. Opened the end by the tabs. Put ice in it and then use the tabs to wrap/close it up. Helped a lot! But still slightly hard to be up and moving with.
