Alcohol and lupron

Can you have a glass of wine or two when on Lupron? I am not on stims, just the lupron. Thanks ladies!!
Diagnosis: MFI and Egg Quality Issues IVF#1-October-BFN ER-16 eggs, 8 mature, 7 fertilized, 2transferred and no frozen IVF#2- March-Beta 3/19 ER- 12 eggs, 8 mature, 7 fertilized, 2 transferred and 1 frozen-BFN. IVF#3 July ER-19 eggs, 13 mature, 10 fertilized...waiting til Day 5 to PGD. PGD results-4 out of 5 embryos are normal and will be banked. IVF#4 Sept 11' 22 eggs, 16 mature, 15 fertilized...waiting til Day 5 to PGD. Total normal embryos banked, quality varies: FET-Nov 11'-BFP Beta #1: 156, Beta #2: 489 First u/s revealed TWINS!! 2nd u/s= 2 beautiful heartbeats! 12/17 Lost one of the twins :(BabyFruit Ticker

    Some RE's say yes, others say no. My RE had me stop all alcohol and caffeine the day of our IVF consult. I'm dying for a glass of wine, especially with this warm weather, but I also don't want to look back if this doesn't work and wonder if I did anything that could have jeopardize our chances.

    I have an IRL friend that decided after 2 failed rounds of IVF that she wouldn't follow the rules to the T and she would enjoy herself from time to time when she wasn't on stims. She currently has 2 beautiful 10 month old babies at home.

    12/10 Dx with high levels antisperm antibodies (female)
    IVF#1 Jan/Feb 2011 Lupron Follistim 1/29
    ER 2/10 28 Retrieved 21 Fertilized w/ICSI
    ET 2/15 Transferred 2 beautiful embryos, 10 frosties
    Beta #1 2/24-141~Beta #2 2/28-1007

    no booze for me during IVF 1 or 2, and 2 bfns.  ithis time I am going to live my life, as they say.  Case in point, I did my first Lupron shot tonight and I'm sipping a tasty beer right now.

    Both or my RE's are OK with up until transfer (in moderation).

    I stopped at BCP's last time, and had a mc. This time I'm trying to be healthy, but i have to live my life too.

    Both of my REs are fine with a glass or two of wine during lupron and stims.

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    FET#1:  BFN

    Mine said it was fine- just don't get intoxicated.  One glass isn't going to hurt anything.
    Married - 8/2009 Diagnosed right away as sub-fertile. PCOS for me and low motility, morphology for DH. On treatment of glucophage and supplements for PCOS. Completely OOP. 4 IUI's - clomid- all BFN's IVF #1- 13 fertilized, no frozens- BFN IVF #2- ER 2/21, 18 retrieved, 12 fertilized. ET 2/24 - 2 beauties. No frozens. BFN. IUI #5 using leftover meds- BFN Trying new meds for PCOS. SAIF & PAIF and prayers welcome! Entering the world of adoption. Choosing happiness and love and focusing on the blessings we do have instead of the things that we don't.

    Thanks girls!!! I avoided the wine last night, but I still have three weeks to go until transfer. Now I won't feel guilty if I have one glass!!

    My RE is fine with it until stims.  I had a really bad cold this week and I'm on Lupron also (not stims).  I called the nurse to doublecheck I could take cold meds.  She said I could take anything I wanted until stims.  I've lived off Dayquil and Nyquil these last 3 days which I think are much worse than alcohol. So I say drink away.  Enjoy!Drinks
