Re: Gloria

  • I wouldn't say that I love it, but I like it. It's a solid name.

  • I love it but I wouldn't call it an old lady name.  I know a very cool 40 year old Gloria.  Super strong name and I just love the way it rolls off the tongue.

  • I don't really think it sounds like an old lady name. It has consistently been inside the Top 500 for over a hundred years now.

Therefore, despite the fact that Gloria has been in use as a name for less than 150 years, I would classify this one as "classic". One that I like very much.

  • You really don't remember, was it something that he said?

Are the voices in your head calling, Gloria?

Love it. For some reason, I see it as the name of a very strong woman. I dunno if the association comes from Gloria Steinem or what, but I like it.
  • that was my DH's grandma's name...we considered using it for a first name, using the NN Gia, but then decided to use it as a middle name. We got mixed reviews when i told people it was a name possibility.
