I have read one blog, but we don't really have a wall we could push the crib against. Any other suggestions on how to get a tight fit? I want to try this since DD is just so fidgety at night and we need a little more space.
I have tried the PnP next to the bed, but I'd rather not have to sit or stand up to pick her up and feed her. Kinda defeats one of my main purposes for bed sharing.
Re: How did you sidecar your crib
Here's my blog on how we did it, though we do have our crib wedged between our bed & the wall.
I'm not really sure if I would sidecar without having a wall to brace the crib against. Maybe if the legs of the crib could be zip tied or in some other way tightly secured to the legs of your bed so that they couldn't come apart? That's the only other idea I had.
Aw, that stinks. But if you can tie the legs of the bed & crib together with some sturdy straps or a zip tie (i wouldn't use a bungy since it can stretch & move), you should still be able to sidecar!

My H is concerned about the ease of changing the sheets and stuff on our bed wiht the crib sidecarred. I explained it would be flush and we could take out whatever we're using to make the crib mattress be flush (towels, foam, whatever) with ours to change it but he didn't like that answer. Is that what you do?

Honestly, changing the sheets is a pain in the rear end with a side carred crib... but wasn't it a pain anyway? That's the way I look at it. It was a chore I hated in the first place & now I hate it more, but it's not that big of a deal.
But yea, we just pull everything apart, change our sheets, put the towels & the foam pad back in, put the sheet we have in the crib over everything & it's done. It sucks, but it's worth it IMO.
We use adjustable clamps like these to attach the crib to the underside of our bed frame.
