Saw you are from England- my hubby is as well.  We aren't set up yet, but once we get a house and get all of our stuff over, Joel (my DH) loves to do a proper Sunday roast with yorkshire puddings and all.  Not sure if you enjoy them as well, but it is one thing he really misses about home.  He's from Herts.  Since we moved up here he is in love with Jungle Jims where he can get prawn cocktail crisps (I prefer the chicken or bacon ones, but they never have them!).

Anyway, like I said it will be some time but if you like Sunday roast, you'd be most welcome!  We know a lot of expats in Louisville but thus far he only knows one that he works with.

  • Ooohh sounds yummy :)  I do roasts too but I omit the puds because of DH's Celiacs, wen we first started dating I used to make thmem for him, haven't tried or attempted a GF version yet.

He will find a lot more ex-pats this side of the river, GE did a recruiting drive in the 70's a lot of transplants in and around the area :)  I know there is an ex-Pats group that meats in Monroe or Mason, I met an older gentleman from England at the local Moose lodge several years ago and there is a girl who moved here with her parents when she was younger who lives literally around the corner from me!

And yes I live in JJ's, I get the majority of my groceries from there!

    P.S

McVities Digestives are cheaper at JJ's than at Meijer on sale :)
