 "Hi everyone! Just dropping to say hi and I'm here now. DH and I have decided to TTC. This will be #1!!"

 

The response....

"I wouldn't just jump right in, sweetheart.  Lurk a little.  Learn the unwritten rules of the board - get to know the ladies on here.  Then, dip your toes in slowly.

I have to admit, some of the girls over there crack me up (sometimes), but posts like these make me want to punch someone in the face!! Get over yourself!!

Thats why I stick to one board, maybe two. Some people on other boards can just be so nasty.

Honestly, a lot of people come on there every month asking us if they are pregnant. Usually they have no charts to show us and have no idea when they o'd. Advice to lurk a little is the best advice we could give them because then they will be able to answer their own questions without us having to answer the same question over and over, daily.

Wow! Who the hell would even think write that.  I never knew there were any unwritten rules.  That just sucks!

It's one thing to suggest that lurking would be a good idea but I think it should be done a lot more nicely than that.  Newbies may not know to lurk around.  That's one of the things that make them newbies.  How quickly people forget.  Each and every one of us was a newbie once.  I hope someone over there was nice enough to answer her question in a nicer way.
