Does/did your 1 year old like slides?

I went by our local Once Upon A Baby (they sell used kids stuff) today. I bought a little outdoor playhouse thing. I got it home and took Ds out there for just a few minutes before it got too cold. He LOVED it. He was having so much fun. They also had a little climber thing with a slide that matches the playhouse I got. I have a coupon so I could get it for $40. Is it worth it? Obviously Ds is too young to go down the slide on his own (though I'm sure he would try). He could probably climb up the side by himself (though I would be right there with him). I'm thinking it might be something really fun for the summer. He'll be 1 on April 18th. Yay or nay? It was in good condition.

  • DS loved slides around that age and he still does.

  • YES. She loves them. We have a big playhouse out back and so does our DCP. I wanna get a little indoor play set for winter too...

  • YES.  Declan will crawl up to the slide, get down on his belly, and go down that way.  He LOVES it to death.  And he has gone down REALLY big slides that way too.  Fearless, that child is!

  • I think it would be a good investment.  DS would have loved it at that age and still does love slides now.

  • we got one at a garage sale for $3 right when my dd was about that age. she's never outgrown her love of it, and now her brother (16 months) loves it too. i say go for it, especially if it's secondhand plastic. ;)
  • DS got a Step2 Naturally Playful Climber slide for his first birthday (a few weeks after it, actually) and he LOVES it.  We had to keep it gated off from him unless we had the time/attention to give him on it.  Now that we've moved, it's outside and he's more interested in exploring our yard, but that's understandable at this point... if we plop him down near the slide, he's up the stairs and down the slide faster than we can blink!
