Thermacare Heat Wraps? Ok to use?

My back is killing me so today I decided to wear one, but then someone at work said, are you sure you can wear that? But if you can use a heating pad, why wouldn't I be able to use this? I have had it on for about 4 hours, but I moved it around, it was on the left side of my back now it is on the right.

I'm sure it's ok b/c those wraps don't really get as hot as a heating pad.  That said, my OB said no to heating pads and the butt warmers in our car.

 They say not to use them if your pregnant on the box.
