My husband loves the name Warrick for our little boy. Im on the fence. We have a 'W' last name, and I like the alliteration. I dont think I like the 'rick' part of it. I realize he could go by Warry? But Im afraid of people calling him 'Rick' or 'War'.
Thoughts? I'd really love to be talked into this name.
Re: Warrick?
Yes! I think of the CSI guy as well. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I know people will make those associations.
Are there any other one-syllable nicknames for Warrick? I just feel like a one-syllable nickname is unavoidable. But my husbands family (brothers and sisters at least) are also known by a one-syllable nickname from their last name (if that made sense...). So maybe that will be the nickname?
Sorry if I sound crazy - I just know that what I name my child wont necessarily be what the child chooses to go by. So I want to be okay with all forms, ya know?

That's my only reservation. I keep wanting to say Warwick, not Warrick. Rory is actually a good possibility for a nn.

I can't help talk you into this name. I think Rick is the only thing it has going for it.
