BFers-2nd PP AF?

Its normal to have weird cycles while BFing, right? I'm on CD 39 now and I just keep wondering when I'm going to start again. I've avoided POAS because I have no symptoms and I don't want to start falling into the old thought patterns...

I'm just pumping one bottle a day (and that is fading fast, sadly), but I just got AF#2 today on CD43, for whatever that's worth. I'm no expert, but I think it's normal to have weird cycles while BFing.

I just finished my 2nd PP AF. My first cycle was 48 days long.

I may not be the best person to ask, granted, as I tend to have whacked out cycles anyway, but when I'm actually ovulating regularly my cycles tend to be around 33 days long.

I can't answer, as I'm still waiting on my first PP AF, but I do notice some other things that definitely point to a hormone ballet inside my body. I am sure you are still out of whack with cycle hormones warring with the BFing hormones.

Mine have been slightly off ranging anywhere from 25days to 38days. But AF came back to me right after birth despite me BFing and EBF for over a year. Blech! I know from my BFing support group that a wacky AF cycle is normal but our LC told us anything longer than 50 days and we should test. I know you don't want to and no one is going to make you but I think you should POAS in the next few weeks if AF doesn't show up.

Thanks girls!!  and kittylove, I think your LC 50 day rule sounds good...it HAS to show up in 10 more days, right?  stupid bodies....

My cycles while BFing were in the 32 to 38 range...so kind of regular, but I was a 28 day cycle regular pre baby (and also a freak of nature with regular periods while EBF...yay!). So it sounds normal to me! I was just SO glad I had a stash of Internet cheapie pg tests to help keep me sane. :-)

I'm on my 2nd PP AF now and it was pretty normal. It came after a 30 day cycle.

I got my first AF almost exactly a month after weaning but my next 2 have been wacky...2nd PP cycle was 38 days and this last one was 45. I POAS 3 times and drove myself crazy and hate myself for doing it! I say, wait it out a bit longer.
