Party favor question...

Rather than a "goodie bag" we are planning to do cookie favors (Thomas the train shortbread cookie... icing... you get the idea).  Party is a little over a week away and now I'm thinking that a cookie favor isn't enough?  I didn't want to get a bunch of cheepy toys that wind up on the floor of my car after the party, but now I wonder if the kiddos will be disappointed that it's a cookie favor (MINE would not be!).

Is a cookie favor enough?  It's a decent sized cookie.  I'm totally overthinking this, right? ;-)

ETA:  My other idea was a personalized coloring book and crayons.  I can still do this (instead)... I have 2 more days to cancel the cookies... :)

Re: Party favor question...

  • I think it's fine.

  • We just did the same thing for DS' party this weekend, and I had the same last minute panic that it wasn't enough. It totally was fine and both parents and kids seemed happy.

  • Yes, totally fine and way better than cheapie junk.
  • Cute idea and definitely enough!
  • We did cookies, and it was fine. Both the kids and parents enjoyed them.
  • I think it is fine.  DS has been to 4 parties this year.  2 gave favors and the other 2 gave nothing.  The 2 parties that he got favors from were both lots of little stuff, I would have preferred the cookies.  We are giving kites to each of the kids at DS's party next month

Kites - what a fun idea!!

  • WE did Cookies for DD's party last month, and it was a big hit, so I think from now on we will do cookies.
  • I think the cookie alone is a great idea.  I hate all the junky stuff you get in goody bags and no one needs more candy.  I love the coloring book idea as well but would only do one or the other, not both.
