Don't stress out hun. We don't have anything yet either. I have few mat. clothes and that's it. We're trying to pay down some dept, etc. before going all out on baby gear.
Great idea with the diapers though! We're hoping to invest in cloth but I may start buying one per paycheck or something along those lines, just to get a stockpile.
Rest easy, you're doing fine

I have officially purchased two outfits for our little one. They were on sale and cute.
That's it.
I'm shocked you have diapers already! I think you're doing just fine... considering your baby won't need to poop in one of them for another 6 months!
We pick up a pack of diapers when we get groceries each week. $10.00 isn't that big of a addition to the grocery bill and I figured id make a big difference down the road when the baby comes.
Thanks for making me feel better
Why don't you just open up an additional account on your bank account (most banks will allow you to do this for free) and put the $10 in there each time? Heck, most banks will let you set it up to automatically transfer that money into the account for free. That way, you've created a savings account for baby things. Plus, if you discover after the baby is born that you HATE the diapers you've chosen and/or they don't fit your child properly, then you're not stuck with a ton of diapers you can't return.
As for buying things, I've bought nothing other than a copy of Baby Bargains. I see no point in buying things until closer to the time. Plus, you really don't need that much for the first few weeks of the baby's life. After that, you can go to the store and get what you need or heck, just buy it online and have it delivered!

Squeaker born 7/30.
you might want to hold off on buying too many more diapers. You'll get a ton of diapers for shower gifts, and sometimes they can be hard to take back. I had so many I had to return/exchange at Walmart after DS was born, that they put me on that list on their system where I could only get store credit for 6 months or whatever it is. If you do buy them, I'd make sure to buy sz 2 and up, since most ppl get the NB/1 sizes.

We have nothing -- not an outfit, a diaper, or a piece of furniture.
My husband's contracted job ends next month, so I'm with you on the tight money thing. You have PLENTY of time to pick up things for your baby. Like another poster said, I'm waiting until the shower to see what we get and then going from there. )

While I think it's true to not stock up on many diapers, it's for a different reason. You won't know how many you'll need (how long the baby will be in each size) or what brand you'll end up liking. I may be in the minority, but I didn't get a single box of diapers at any of my 3 showers.
We have three onsies so far and that is it and the only reason we have those is because they were gifts. We haven't bought anytthing and don't plan on it until after we find out the sex and even then we aren't going to buy much because we have huge families and will most likely get alot at our shower and will just purchase the rest after the shower. The only thing I"m going to really focus on buying between then and now is stuff to decorate the nursery with.
All we have are gifts from other people and one outfit that I actually bought the first time we were pregnant this time last year.
I am horribly superstitious and haven't been able to let myself buy anything yet. I imagine our first purchase will be the crib around the end of April, beginning of May when we clean out the guest room to make it the baby's room. After that we will wait until after the baby shower to inventory what we have and what we still need. that will be at the end of June.
I have not bought a single thing for the baby yet and I don't plan to fir awhile. It doesn't make you a bad mom... you still have 25 weeks to go before the baby gets here! It will be ok, it will all come together!
