expired string cheese - eek!

So I've been eating string cheese as a snack every now and then but havent had any in a while. I had DH buy more the last shopping trip and I asked him for one the other day. I ate it and it was fine. Well just now I went to grab one and noticed the only open package was the old one, expires Dec 10th!! I threw them out right away so it didnt happen again but I'm kind of freaking out now... Is there any chance it could hurt the baby at all? I figured I'd ask here since my OB's office isn't open right now..

I would think that if it was hurting the baby it would have made you sick as well. Besides Cheese is one of those things that as long as kept properly can last along time. I think your alright.

I ate it on Sunday and have felt normal since so I am hoping everything is fine... thanks for replying!

if you're not feeling sick, it's fine. doubtful it would really "do" anything to the baby anyway, it would probably just make you pukey

I think you're probably fine... Even though that is pretty expired, things do stay good sometimes a while after an expiration date. Companies just have to put a date on it so they can't be liable if something bad didn happen, but cheese is aged anyway, it it wasn't moldy and you didn't notice a weird taste, and it hasn't made you sick I think your good...
