We didn't get the house.

Ugh, I can't even say how disappointed I am. I tried not to cry on the phone with my realtor, but I think she knew.

They didn't even bother to respond. To get the house they want to buy, they need to get asking price for their house, and no less. Like with the last house we didn't get, they literally can't go down at all. I have to seriously wonder what they are thinking...they didn't even bother to counter? We didn't even lowball them at all. I felt our offer was very realistic and was even much higher than what the house is actually worth.

I am so sad about this and so tired of looking at houses. We have seen over 40 houses so far.

Oh how frustrating!  You'd think after a year they'd jump on any offer they could get.  We lost several houses, we'd see a house and it'd be under contract the same day we saw it before we could even get an offer written.  Finally the 50th house was the charm and it worked out great.  I really hope you are able to find something soon!

Man, that sucks. A lot of sellers are in really bad situations at the moment and it makes negotiating tough. Sounds to me like they aren't getting great advice from their realtor. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry that you didn't get the house.  It has to be tough.  I hope you can find something you like even better.

Man that stinks!! I am so bummed for you! Hopefully there is an even BETTER house right around the corner-- just be confident in knowing that things will work out eventually and you will end up in the perfect house for your family! GL with your continued search!

Thanks, ladies. I'm trying to think positive even though I am just feeling so done with house hunting. I guess it just wasn't meant to be our house...sadly.

That is frustrating and a bummer to say the least. I can't imagine not moving on an asking price in this market. I hope your reason for not getting this particular house is just around the corner.

I agree - they are being pretty unrealistic given the current housing market. I hope you're able to find another house you love soon... it must be that it's still out there, waiting to be found by you guys!
