Anyone else starting Clomid today!!

Hey ladies! Ok, I am super nervous about starting clomid today. Im on cylce day 3 and Im taking 100 mg. I don't know why my doc started me at 100, but Im not sure what to expect. I hear so much negative feedback about clomid doses 100mg and up that I am so not ready to feel these side effects. I guess Im just looking to hear some positive stories, success stories, or at least get some reassurance that I will be OK. lol. Is anyone else just starting clomid?! I would love to share the experience with you.

    Do you have an infertility diagnosis that lead your Dr to put you on clomid?

    Were you referred to a Reproductive Endocrinologist?

    100mg is a pretty high dose to put someone on if the above hasn't been explored.

    I hope you're being monitored ( blood work ultrasounds ) to prevent overstimulating your ovaries which is a very bad possibility on Clomid of high dosage.

     

    And just to let you know, so what I've already said doesn't sound b!tchy, I've been seeing an RE since 2009. I just started Clomid yesterday and even though this is my second go around at TTC, based on my bloodwork and ultrasounds they put me on 50mg of Clomid.

    Ditto on the questions the PP mentioned.  I started 150 mg last night and have already posted on my head feeling completely odd. FWIW, though, I did 100 mg as a "Clomid challenge" last month (my first Clomid month) and felt pretty much fine throughout.  Even with my head swimmy, I'm "ok" so I think you'll be ok too if you're properly monitored.  Good luck!  Feel free to send me a PM if you want to be "cycle buddies."

    I started 200mg last night.

    We're doing Clomid/Bravelle/Novarel/Progesterone this cycle.  And ditto pp, I've been seeing an RE since May 2008.  I won't lie, Clomid comes with some pretty yucky side-effects.  I woke up with the foggy/headachy feeling this a.m...and expect hot flashes and mood swings by day 3.

    Clomid tomorrow??? I'm nebbing and would love to join if I can?? Clomid 50mg tomorrow, 2nd IUI....Good Luck :)
