Possible TMI... Bloody show/ Mucous plug

Soooo, yesterday I thought I had bloody show, but now I am thinking it was more mucous plug. I have been losing small pieces for a couple of days, but yesterday it was a LOT and it was definitely more bloody and so I thought it was bloody show. I am not even sure if I know the difference between the two. Since then, I have continued to loose pieces that are more blood tinged.

What do you ladies think? Or what have you experienced? TIA

the regualr MP is greenish and clear. maybe some yellow. like snot when you are sick. Bloody show is between pink-red-brown. I started seeing this at the end of losing my MP. With DS I lost my MP at 37wks and delivery 2wks later. i never had the bloody show. This time I lost the MP at 38wks. it all came out in 1.5 days and the day I had DD I had the blood in the am delivered in the afternoon. IMO I think the blood is the stuff that is closer to the sack so that is why it is tinged with blood and it also signifies a change in your cervix.

a girl after my own heart- i just posted something similar about this as well.  i lost mine this morning and it was just clear.  i immediately ran to google and learned that if it's reddish in color, that typically means you're closer to having something happen than not. hopefully something will happen for you soon!

I never lost my MP that I know of, but my bloody show started like a light red-brown period on Monday morning, kind of went away and then by Tuesday evening had turned into normal red period type flow as I began having contractions.  I had some cramping too.  Wednesday (2 weeks ago today!) DD was born.  The nurses and my OB were a concerned at first about the amount of bleeding I had, but it turned out it was just my bloody show.

my plug fell out on friday. it kinda reminded me of a booger w/ a spot in it. it was about the size of my thumb nail. some people said they loose theirs in pieces and others the whole thing. best bet is to call the doctor and ask what they think.
