The GD drink tastes like orange soda and was given cold, I didn't have an option. It really doesn't taste bad at all. I don't know if all GD drinks are the same across hospitals or labs, but if they are then there really is no reason to worry. It tastes just fine.

I didn't get a choice for either. First was orange and it was pretty cold, not too bad. For the three hour, the flavor was fruit punch which actually tasted like regular fruit punch but it was so freaking cold. I thought that it would turn to ice any moment while I was chugging it.
I didn't have a choice - the lab gave it to me and it was ice cold (I got brain freeze from trying to just drink it as fast as I could). I didn't think it was horrible, like orange soda but much sweeter, after half of it I wouldn't descirbe it as pleasant either. Still - I didn't get what the big deal was - it wasn't all that bad.
They said the 3 hour stuff is much sweeter so I'm hoping I passed. I'm jealous of those who get to drink it at home - I had to drink it there and wait there. If I have to take the 3 hour I'll have to wait in the waiting room of the lab for 3 hours - that's worse than the drink.
I don't understand why some ppl make a huge deal over it and make it sound so horrible and go on about how it made them sick/nauseous. Cough medicine is much worse IMO.
They didn't give me a straw and it was cold enough that I couldn't drink the whole thing without stopping. The roof of my mouth is really cold-sensitive. It was the orange. Tasted like a melted Otter Pop.
I just had my GD test today too, and the drink was moderately cold. It tasted like super sweet Sprite (which I can imagine would be more tolerable than the orange drink others have described). I was not a fan!

Re: GD drink poll
Ice, ice baby.
Kept it in the fridge, tossed it into the ice bin for an hour before I drank it. Drank it through a straw as fast as I possibly could.
I think they generally give you a straw no matter what.
No they do not! I didn't have a straw for mine. I was thinking the whole time I was drinking it that a straw would make it easier to suck down.

It was like watered down flat orange soda.

They gave it to me in the office and it was room temp.
Also - no straw and it didn't taste that bad. It was like flat Hi-C orange.
