So we have been lucky so far but now DS is getting his first cold. He has been super cranky and now he just woke up with tons of boogies. Poor little guy. He is also maybe getting a tooth so I am sure that is not helping. What do I need to watch out for? Anything different since he is preemie?

Re: first cold
I have a cool mist humidifier. I use Lil Noses Saline Drops and Boogie Wipes. And the Nosefrida is the best way to suck out the boogers--baby fought it at first, but when he really had a cold, he just calmed down like a sick patient and let me suck it out--I am getting pretty good at sucking out the boogers.
Oh and sanitizer--baby and I keep passing a cold back and forth.
Our pediatrician gave us a prescription for an inhaler because baby was coughing due to his reflux and his drool backing up in his throat. Baby drooled a lot when he got his first two teeth.
At our last pediatrician appointment at the end of November, baby got a flu shot.
I hope your baby gets better!
Keep an eye on any difficultly breathing (if it's RSV), signs of dehydration, or high fevers.
Andrew did great with his first cold despite me being a nervous wreck - I hope your LO gets through it just fine! T&P!
