Okay, so... I have poked around in the feb board my entire pregnancy, being a Feb mom to be myself..

I wasnt a big time follower though, until this past month or so... and Im seeing posts devoted to Wilma.

 

Someone PLEASE fill me in! She commented on my post when I announced that my little one was here.. and she was very nice... Am I missing something?

Oh golly, it would take a long time to fill you in on EVERYTHING. I dont think I got the whole story either but I had to do some in-depth research to figure out what everyone was talking about and I kid you not... pretty darn funny to on the verge of creepy. Yet I dont have any idea how to give you links to her past posts. So I really hope someone replies to this who has the whole story.

 Jus an FYI her posts are painfully hard to read and usually really boring. Its the pictures that she posts that gets everyone talking.

WELL, Wilma has been here for quite some time, and if you notice, Wilma from the Flintstones is her avatar. In addition, her "husband's" name is Fred. Any time she posts a "bump" picture on HDBD, she finds a picture from somewhere on the internet, often a stock photo/catalog photo. Her posts read like they have been translated to English on a translator website and are often pretty silly. She is the perfect wife, like think 50s Stepford perfect. One of her badges in her siggy was pretty much stolen from a mom who made it for herself (the Tennessee Vols one). These and many other things lead us to believe that Wilma is, sadly, completely fictitious. Also, we have our suspicious that Wilma is indeed a man, possibly living in some other country. "She" has had the perfect pregnancy, and of COURSE went into labor on her perfect due date, Valentines Day.

Though somewhat creepy, we have come to love "her" because of the amusement she is sure to provide. We are (im)patiently waiting an update on what is sure to be an epic "birth story."

It's a popular theory that Wilma is a fake persona.  Some theorize 'she' is actually a 'he' with a pregnancy fetish, others think she is role playing, and still others think she's mentally disturbed and is under the delusion that she's actually pregnant. 

She steals pictures from random places online and claims them as her bump pics (some include watermarks that are poorly hidden, and the girl in the pics rarely looks like the same person).  Yesterday, she posted a picture of 'herself' that was on the front page of Yahoo.  

She has been posting the weekly updates that the Bump emails everyone, as well as extremely detailed posts about her doctor visits and work, and her husband 'Fred', and the nice young man at work who gives her 'friendly' hugs.

This just in, though all along she's been saying she's due on V-day, she actually posted that she'd 'guessed' her EDD and she was really due on Feb 11, based on her ovulation, conception, and implantation date (and seriously, who actually knows their implantation date? Wilma, apparently.) 

And now she's left everyone hanging because she posted that she was on her way to L&D yesterday and now everyone is watching to see what sort of train wreck birth story she posts. It's like a soap opera, see?

The thing with her is that she's not a real pregnant woman.  "She" has posted bump pics on HDBD that have a visible watermark and are easily available through a Google image search for a pregnant woman.  Her name is Wilma and her husband's name is Fred.  She posts rediculously long and detailed stories about anything and everything, from sex with Fred (a painfully TMI post, I cringe just thinking about it) to snow days to baby showers and parties thrown in her honor--apparently hundreds of people have attended these parties and given her huge lavish gifts.  Nevermind that her posts are filled with grammatical and spelling errors that make them even more painful to read.

I will see if I can find the links, but she got caught when someone found the picture she used to have on here, and claimed it was her and the last pic her grandfather took of her...it was actaully some Mexican pop star.

She said it was her, but the other pic was similar and everyone has a twin..it was the exact picture.  

She then claimed that the reason she was using the lead singer of paramor as her avatar was because she was burned horribly in a HS chemistry class accident.

And the message she left on your birth announcement is the same message she leaves for everyone- she just changes the color of the font and the word 'boy' to 'girl'. It's not a genuine comment, just a copy and paste.

One of her first posts in 1st Tri was a porn story about her and her DH. A lot of us posted triumphs about when we were finally over morning sickness enough to do the dirty with our SO's, but she took it a step too far and wrote this pornographic story about how she woke at 4am to pee, came back to bed and her Dear Fred had a hard on so she thought, 'why not' and hopped on and they had a great time, moans and all. 

Then they cleaned up and went to church. 

Yes, I remember almost all that story. I don't read romance novels anymore, so it REALLY stuck in my head.

I am amused and completely disgusted at the same time...

 Too bad there isnt a way to moderate and "block" weirdos like this from public message boards, EXP ones about our precious new babies, and the fact that us moms share very private details, amd important milestones in our lives,

I almost felt bad for "Wilma" because I thought the Feb board was just being harshly rude to a prego woman who had a rough time with english.. little did I know the entire truth. Ugh.

 This is so extremely creepy.
